Remodeling Indialantic's beach ranches, block by block

Indialantic is a rare thing in Florida. A genuinely walkable beach town, its avenues laid out in a tidy grid from the ocean to the river, with Fifth Avenue's shops in the middle. Most of its houses went up in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, and hardly anyone leaves. They remodel instead.

That remodel-over-move habit is a perfect match for TradeWinds Construction. We rebuild the original kitchens and bathrooms these block ranches came with. We open floor plans carefully in houses that were built compartmentalized. We upgrade trim to suit the era of the house, and we refresh exteriors with materials chosen for four blocks from the Atlantic.

Lots here are tight and neighbors are close, so we run tidy sites. Staged deliveries. Protected driveways. A crew that keeps a quiet street quiet.

Questions we hear

Indialantic questions, answered plainly

Can you open up the closed floor plan in our older Indialantic house?

Usually, yes. These homes were framed and blocked in a compartmental era. We figure out what's structural, carry the loads correctly, and open the kitchen to the living space the way the house should have started.

How do you handle tight lots and street parking during a job?

We plan it before day one. Where the dumpster sits, where material lands, how your car still gets out. On Indialantic's grid, logistics are part of the craft.

Is terrazzo under our carpet worth keeping?

Often it's beautiful and worth restoring. It's a signature of the era. We'll assess its condition during planning and design the remodel to feature it or cover it. Your call, with real information.
