Bathrooms rebuilt right, down to what is behind the tile

A bathroom is the one remodel where the part you can't see matters most. Tile is only as good as the waterproofing behind it, and Florida humidity punishes shortcuts.

TradeWinds Construction rebuilds bathrooms from the studs when they need it. Proper backer and membrane in the wet areas. Correct slopes to the drain. Then the tile work, laid level, with straight grout lines and mitered outside corners where the design calls for them.

Hall bath that just feels tired? Full primary suite with a curbless shower and a freestanding tub? Either way, one crew takes it from demo to final trim.

We know these houses

Beachside homes from Indialantic down to Vero's Central Beach still hold plenty of original 1960s bathrooms. Mud-set tile, steel tubs, plumbing that's been in there for decades. Those baths deserve a full rebuild, and they come out as the nicest room in the house.

Questions we hear

Questions about bathroom remodeling

Do I need to re-tile or can the shower be repaired?

If tiles are loose, grout keeps cracking, or the wall flexes when you press on it, water is already behind the tile and a rebuild is the honest answer. If the pan and walls are sound, a smaller repair might hold. We'll tell you which one you actually need, not which one pays more.

How long is my bathroom out of commission?

A straightforward hall bath usually runs a couple of weeks. A full primary suite runs longer, especially with custom glass, which gets measured after the tile is done. If it's your only bathroom, we sequence the work to keep a working toilet as long as possible.

Can you make a shower with no curb to step over?

Yes. Curbless showers take planning because the floor has to be recessed or built up to get the slope right. They're one of the most requested things we build, both for the clean look and the easy access.
