Concrete and block work with clean lines and solid bones

Concrete is honest. It shows exactly how much care went into the forms, the base, and the finish. And it shows it for thirty years.

TradeWinds Construction pours and finishes driveways, slabs, sidewalks, patios, and equipment pads, and lays concrete block for site walls, additions, and garden and privacy walls. Forms set straight and to grade. Base compacted. Steel where it belongs. Control joints cut where the slab wants to crack anyway.

Block work is a craft of its own. Courses level, joints tooled consistent, cells grouted where the wall needs the strength. It's the backbone trade of Florida construction and we treat it that way.

On this coast

We know these houses

Concrete block is what most of this coast is built from. Drive any street in Sebastian, Gifford, or Palm Bay and you're looking at CBS homes. We speak that language fluently, whether it's a new block wall in Wabasso or a driveway widened for the boat trailer in Micco.

Questions we hear

Questions about concrete & block work

Will my new concrete crack?

All concrete cracks. The craft is deciding where. Proper base prep, correct thickness, steel reinforcement, and well-placed control joints keep the cracking in the joints where it belongs instead of wandering across the surface.

How thick should a driveway be?

Thicker than a patio, and reinforced, especially where a truck, RV, or boat trailer is going to sit. We spec thickness and steel to how you'll actually use the slab, and we'll tell you when the cheaper spec isn't worth it.

Can you match my existing driveway when adding an extension?

We match the finish texture and joint layout, and get the color as close as new concrete allows. New concrete cures lighter and blends over the first year of Florida sun. We'll show you examples so you know what to expect.
